VAN HALEN

    That’s a band formed in 1974, by the brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen. Later, the singer David Lee Roth and the bass player Michael Anthony joined it. The heavy metal and hard rock band that has more singles released, and one of the five that have the Diamond Disc in USA. • EDDIE VAN HALEN

     Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, better known as Eddie Van Halen, is the guitar player of the band. He was Born on 1955, Jan 26th. He occupies the eigth position of the 100 best guitar players of all time by the Rolling Stone magazine and the seventh by the Gisbson’s List of the 50 best guitar players of all time.

• ALEX VAN HALEN 

     Alexander Arthur Van Halen was Born on 1953, May 8th, in the city of Nijmegen, Netherlands. He is the drummer of Van Halen band and is known by his emblematic and aggressive solos, with a lot of pyrotechnics.

• DAVID LEE ROTH

     Also known as Diamond Dave, David Lee Roth was Born on 1955, Oct 10th. He’s the singer of the band and has other solo albums, too.

• WOLFGANG VAN HALEN

     He was Born on 1991, Mar 16th. He’s Eddie’s son, and his bass is performed by his own father, Eddie. He has just entered the band in 2006, after Michael Anthony, the former bass player, left the band.

     Oliver Taylor Hawkins was Born in 1972, Feb 17th. He’s the Foo Fighters’ drummer. Before he started playing with Foo Fighters, he was  Alanis Morisette's singer, and He took part on the tour called Little Pill with her. In 2004, He created his own band, called Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders.

•         CHRIS SHIFLETT

     Chris Shiflett was Born in May 6th, 1971. He entered the Foo Fighters after the release of the third álbum (There is Nothing Left to Lose), and he was already in the band in the fourth album (One By One) . He plays on other bands, too, such as: Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, No Use for a Name, Jackson United, Viva Death,The Real McCoy, Chris Shiflett & the Dead Peasants.

•         PAT SMEAR 

     George Ruthenberg was Born in August 5th, 1959. He is the second guitar player in Foo Fighters. He plays in the band The Germs, too. He went out of the band in the  1997, and went back in 2006.

FOO FIGHTERS - continuation (part 2)

     As you could watch on the videos a published on the last post, Foo Fighters is a really Great Rock Band. Today you'll can know more about some players thet do part of this band.

• DAVE GROHL

Dave Grohls was born in the city of Warren, 1969. He is the former Drummer of Nirvana. But in this band he generally plays guitar and sings. He's the leader of the band, and, let me tell, this is the most appropriate position for him.

• NATE MENDEL

Nate Mendel was born in 2 Dec 1968, in the city of Richland, Washington. He is a bass player, and he plays in the band Sunny Day Real State, too. He has a son, wth his former girlfriend. He plays very very well, as the other players. 

FOO FIGHTERS

     That's an american rock band formed in the city of Seattle, Washington, USA. The band have other stiles of musica, such as post-groung, hard rock and alternative rock. The name is a reference to the term "foo fighter", used by airmen in the Second World War.

     

• FORMATION 

The guitar player and vocalist, Dave Grohl, played in the band Nirvana. After the Kurt Cobain's death, Dave considered to abandon the music. But he couldn't. In 1995, he did a solo album, and decided to form a band for the next. He called some players he knew and so they started. The band realized the first tour that year.
